This notice explains what HHM Search uses to complete a search, how private intelligence briefs are handled, and how commercial relationships are kept separate from organic ranking.

What a search sends
HHM uses your search words, chosen source type, and browser language to find results. Your city may be estimated from your network address by our hosting service or a direct browser request to BigDataCloud. This estimate can be inaccurate, especially with a VPN. You can edit or clear it. Choosing “Use my location” asks for browser permission before BigDataCloud converts your device coordinates to a city; HHM receives the city, not those coordinates. Location lookup does not include your search words.
After a successful search, HHM keeps up to eight recent search starting points on this browser so you can rerun them. They include the query, selected source profile, and optional city, region, or country—but not the results. You can clear them directly from Search. Your browser may also keep the page in its own history. HHM Search is set not to send the Search page address as referral information when you open an outside result.
HHM also counts recurring, non-sensitive searches to identify broadly useful research topics. A deliberate search must have a temporary signed browser pass, and a coarse daily network bucket is converted to a one-way code to limit duplicate or automated counts. HHM does not store the network address or broad location with this count. Eligible query wording and aggregate counts are kept for up to 31 days; raw query URLs remain outside the public index, and a person reviews every topic before publication.
Do not enter a street address, private account number, health record, password, or other sensitive information into search.
Public sources
Your search words are shared only with the public source services needed for the source type you choose. Current knowledge, research, and news sources include:
GDELT provides a worldwide index of recent news coverage; opening a result takes you to the original publisher, whose reporting and publication details should be verified. Broader web, local, and product searches may use additional public search providers when available. Each outside source has its own privacy practices.
When you use an active licensed-search pass, HHM may send your search words, selected source type, language, and broad location to Brave Search for additional web or news coverage. Licensed results powered by Brave Search remain part of HHM's organic ranking process.
Private intelligence briefs
Optional voice input starts only when you press the microphone and allow browser access. Your browser may send audio to its speech-recognition service. HHM does not record or store that audio. Review the transcribed words before submitting; they are handled like a typed search. Voice input is available in supported browsers.
A temporary private browser pass keeps Council, Investigate, Compare, Analyze, Monitor, Reports, and Scout work tied to the browser that created it. It is not a cross-device account.
Completed and unsuccessful briefs are kept for up to 30 days by default. Active work is preserved until it finishes. Retention may be shortened when appropriate.
Search-result exports, brief exports, and Monitor calendar reminders are created in your browser only when you request them. Search exports use the original organic source addresses rather than affiliate redirect links. After download, the copy is controlled by your device, spreadsheet or calendar application, and chosen storage location.
You can permanently delete a finished brief sooner from your private recent-work history.
Ads and affiliate relationships
Organic results are ranked before any affiliate link is added. A qualifying paid link is labeled beside the result and cannot buy a higher position.
Affiliate identifiers do not include your raw search words, location, or private browser-pass identifier. HHM Search does not currently collect affiliate-link click events.
Ordinary Google display ads may appear on reviewed editorial pages. Search-result advertising is a separate placement and appears only when the required Search Ads configuration is active and the visitor directly starts the search. Advertising remains separate from organic ranking.
Clear commercial boundaries
No hidden paid ranking.
Paid reports, timed research access, licensed sources, company workspaces, monitoring services, and advertising use their own visible access paths. Ordinary display ads and labeled affiliate links do not change HHM's organic result order.
A useful limit to remember
Public search results can be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Open the original source and verify important claims before making a costly, legal, financial, medical, engineering, or safety decision.
